what does not work? what kind of a comment is this? If anonymous means growing plants with LEDs does not work, he or she is wrong! Growing plant's with LEDs works for many years already! It's called light farming. NASA does it. I may not include URL's in my comment, but type in google: "Lettuce and LEDs: Shedding New Light On Space Farming " and you'll see what I mean.

But: I've checked my-tronic... sent them an inquiry and... it looks like they deal only with "big" clients. :( So I have no chance but to look for another LED manufacturer. Do you know somebody else?
Cool. I researched this idea after seeing a company selling UV LEDs. The page is very well written. I cant wait to build my own grow lamps!

i am planing to do a research on this. would like to know who i can contact for help, as to how much red and blue light would be neede and how would i know photosynthesis is taking place
